“We finally found something that helped him move again.”
Our boy has arthritis, and some days it gets really bad—especially when the weather turns cold. On those days, he can barely get up. It’s heartbreaking to watch.
We decided to try a joint brace. He’s a big guy, so we got the extra extra large, and luckily it fit perfectly.
At first, he wasn’t too sure about wearing it. I mean, it’s a support device—he’s never worn anything like that before. But we took it slow.
Just 30 minutes a day, then a little longer the next, and within a few days… he was fine with it. Actually, I think he kind of liked how it felt.
Now, on the days where he used to struggle to even stand up, he moves around so much better. The brace gives him that extra bit of stability he needs.
We still make sure to take it off several times a day, let his skin breathe, give him a break. It’s not something he wears 24/7. But when he needs it—he wears it, and it helps. A lot.
If your dog’s dealing with arthritis like ours, I really recommend giving it a try.
It won’t fix everything, but it made a big difference for our guy.
